The Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI) provides credentials for professional construction managers (CMs). As an independent administrative body of CMAA, CMCI administers the construction management credentialing programs: CMIT & CCM.
The Institute is governed by a Board of Governors (BoG) and is comprised of construction management professionals who are responsible for policies and procedures affecting criteria for professional credentials and the determination of the status of candidates enrolled in the credential programs.
The CMIT is a certificate program that helps young professionals launch and develop a successful career into the construction management industry. After an individual successfully becomes a CMIT they will be given access to the CCM mentor directory, enabling CMITs to expand their networks and connect with leading industry professionals.
The CMIT designation demonstrates competence in the practice of construction management early in an individual’s career. Individuals who have earned their CMIT designation are showing employers and clients they are invested in the industry as well as in their own professional development. The CMIT program will help you develop as a construction manager and as a leader.
The Certified Construction Manager (CCM®) recognizes professionals who have chosen a career in construction management and voluntarily met the prescribed criteria of the construction management certification program with regards to formal education, field experience and demonstrated capability and understanding of the CMAA body of knowledge.
CCMs are committed to excellence in construction management/project management, career advancement and the pursuit of knowledge. CCMs provide professional services which apply effective management techniques to the planning, design, and construction of a project from inception to completion to control time, cost and quality.
CMAA provides construction managers with the industry's leading source of professional education and training. We offer a variety of traditional and digital programs dedicated to improving the overall competency and performance of industry professionals and rising CMs.
